Travel with children and babies
Travelling with a baby or a child does not have to be stressful for you. For a more pleasant journey, Luxair offers you:
- a special safety belt, the “kangaroo belt”, for travelling with your baby (under 2 years old) on your knees. Children aged 2 to 11 travel on a normal seat.
- menus that are specially adapted to the needs of little travellers.
- Entertainment provided so that your children can enjoy their flight.

Travel with animals
Do you wish to travel with an animal? This is possible on Luxair flights except for the destination of LONDON CITY and is subject to certain conditions.
- If your animal weighs less than 8 kg (including cage), it may travel in the passenger cabin. It will be considered as excess baggage if the weight (check-in luggage + animal) exceeds the total of 20 kg. If this permitted limit is exceeded, any excess will be charged at a rate of €10 per/ kg.
- If your animal weighs more than 8 kg, your animal will be put in a cage and transported in the cargo hold. It will be considered as excess baggage if the weight (check-in luggage + animal) exceeds the total of 20 kg. If this permitted limit is exceeded, any excess will be charged at a rate of €10 per/ kg.
- It is essential that your animal has an EU passport for animals.
- The number of animals allowed per flight is limited. Please remember to state that your animal will be travelling with you when making your ticket reservation.
- If your animal is carried in the passenger cabin in a cage, the measurements of this must not exceed 45x35x17 cm.
- Dogs, cats and birds travelling from or destined for travel to Great Britain must be declared as cargo.
Luxair reserves the right to refuse carriage for animals for specific safety reasons or due to legal restrictions.
